INTERNATIONAL FILM SCHOOL MAURITIUS

International Film School Mauritius is a new film school offering professional-level education and technical training across all the key departments of multimedia screen work. It was created in 2019 by a group of screen professionals from around the world who are committed to building up a powerful skills base and a vibrant screen storytelling culture in the Indian Ocean. The school is based at Media Plaza, Royal Road Mont Mascal, Petit Raffray, 30704, Mauritius.

IFSM uses state-of-the-art studios, networks, post-production facilities, and film equipment facilities to offer Beginner Level, Advanced Level, Combined and Masterclass Short Workshop Courses in a variety of fields of study including: Summer Session Programs,  AI (Artificial intelligence) Course, The Art of Filmmaking: Directing, Camera Work, and Acting Techniques, Mastering Film Post Production: An Intensive Course in After Effects, Color Grading, and Visual Effects,  Acting for Film: Beginner Level, Acting for Film: Advance Level, Combined Film-Course: Camera, Grip, Lighting & Sound, Cinematography: Camera – Beginner Level, Cinematography: Camera – Advance Level, Cinematography: Grips, Cinematography: Lighting, Directing: Beginner Level, Directing: Advance Level, Documentary Filmmaking, Drone Aerial Videography, Film Accounting: Beginner Level, Film Accounting: Advance Level, Film Animation & Modelling, Makeup for Photography & Cinema, Film Makeup & Hair Dressing, Film Marketing, Sales & Film Distribution, Film Producing, Economy & Finance, Film Production & Coordinating, Game Development & Design, Post-Production: Picture & Sound Editing, Robyn Scott Acting Master Class, Post Production: Editing Beginners level, Production Design & Art Department, Visual Effects (VFX): Beginner Level, Visual Effects (VFX): Advance Level and Writing for the Screen.

We consult with individual students and offer flexibility in course selection. Candidates may select any number or combination of workshop courses to study.

IFSM doesn’t stop at course provision, because it caters to the post-training employment of Mauritian students. After completion, all local students may apply for planned placements with international film industry partners.
