Film Accounting for beginners is ideal for students who have a working knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping. Students will be exposed to the basic principles of Film Accounting, learn about:

Post Production Accounting
The Workshop / Course will be three weeks in length
Theory
Week 1 & 2 will be theory based and will involve an introduction to Production Accounting and an in depth look at the roles & responsibilities within the Production Accounting Department.
Practical
Week 3 will involve Practical Lessons on how to do Petty Cash, Accounts Payable, Payroll & Reporting. After each lesson, the student’s knowledge will be tested in the form of a quiz.
Once the 3 weeks have been completed, the student will be assessed on both theory and practice.
Outcome
Student will understand the various roles within the Production Accounting Department.
Students will understand the different Accounting Procedures incl. the approval process / tracking systems / reporting & filing.
The student will be able to apply their knowledge of Petty Cash / Payroll & Accounts Payable in a working environment.
